Artist name: Michael Ray Charles

I would say that Charles' art is polarizing and aggravated.

Charles uses color to create such a polarizing effect. By painting the figures in such a deep black, and then surrounding them with lighter colors; Charles really makes these figures seem to jump off of the page. Additionally, the use of black and white in such a drastic juxtaposition adds as social commentary on the separation and segregation between the two colors for much of the United States history.
